what i like about this is that it doesnt have the option "undo" or "back" so you cant cheat and its set at a very hard level, i like it ... i guess that my iphone is smarter than me :))
When playing against the computer in practice mode, it is so hard, the hardest Ive seen, very hard to beat it. But after like 30 games you develop your tactic after a lot of frustration and finally get wiser and win. So I guess that makes it a good app if you enjoy chess. Have fun
Some bad moments
This game is too quick and unforgiving. Does not allow you to learn the game or take any lessons from the play. For advanced players only
Really stupid game, level one would be impossible if your not already good at chess and it wont let me online
I cannot stand this up its full of cheaters my pieces disappear randomly and often when Im winning the game will end and it says someone aborted, once Im in a next game I have a loss counter. I will never play on this app again I give it 0/5 and recommend to never play.
NEVER lost a single game & now its saying I have 3 losses?!?! I will make sure this app gets over 100 bad reviews if this is not fixed ASAP. Try me.
Needs 3D option. Better txt capabilities as well. Live chess is better!
I have the free version. I "lost" 2 games hitting buttons to find out what they did. How about some instructions with the menu? Also, I have played chess most of my life. I have always played against a living opponent. I have never played an electronic version before. How does one castle in this game? Again, how about some instructions in menu? Dont tell me to Facebook. I like my life private. My favorite line:
I do not Face; I do not Twit; I do not Ya-hoo;
And I never intend to!
Menu does not have to tell how to play chess. It is safe to assume that one who uses it should already be acquainted with the game. However, it would be nice to know what all the little buttons do before one presses them and how to make special moves such as castling. This should have been obvious to the programmer. If one reaches an opponents first rank with a pawn, can one change it to any piece they would want, and how?
